Acrylic Eggshell Paint
Acrylic Eggshell, a quick drying water-borne alternative to conventional eggshell finish. Based on acrylic resin, this product combines good durability and washability and can be applied in areas subject to condensation. It is specially formulated for easy application with minimum roller spatter. The quick drying time means two coats can be applied easily in one day with minimum disruption, and once applied Acrylic Eggshell will not yellow, making it the ideal choice where a mid-sheen monotone finish is required.Ref No.

Drying Time
Surface dry in 1-2 hours, recoatable after 4 hours.
Uses
Suitable for interior surfaces where a decorative, hard wearing mid-sheen finish is required.
Preparation
New and previously painted surfaces should be dry and free from loose and flaking material, dirt, grease, wax and polish and primed with the appropriate Macphersons primer.
Application
Stir well before use. Supplied for use by brush, roller or spray. Apply two full coats allowing 4 hours between coats. Thinning is not normally necessary but on porous surfaces, up to 20 percent of water may be added.
Cleaning
Clean all equipment with water.
SPECIFICATION
NEW SURFACES
Plaster, Brickwork and Cement.To the clean efflorescence-free surface, apply a first coat of Acrylic Eggshell thinned with 20 percent water. A further two full coats are required.
Hardwood, Fibreboard and Plasterboard.
To the clean surface apply a first coat of Acrylic Eggshell thinned with 20 percent water, followed by one or two full coats depending on colour choice.
Wood and Metal Surfaces.
These surfaces must be primed with the appropriate primer prior to finishing with two coats of Acrylic Eggshell.
PREVIOUSLY DECORATED SERVICES
Eggshell or Emulsion Painted Surfaces.Thoroughly wash down all surfaces, remove all loose and flaking areas. Apply 2-3 coats of Acrylic Eggshell depending on colour choice.
Gloss Painted Surfaces.
Thoroughly wash and rub down the surface to provide a key for adhesion, apply 2-3 coats as required.
Heavily Stained Areas (Nicotine, etc).
Thoroughly wash with sugar soap solution and apply a coat of Macpherson's Stain Sealer before overcoating with Acrylic Eggshell.
PRECAUTIONS
Protect from frost. Do not apply at temperatures below 5 degrees centigrade.Use only in well ventilated areas.
In case of insufficient ventilation during spraying, wear suitable respiratory equipment.
Do not breathe vapour/spray.
In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
