Lining Papers - Various Weights. 10.05m length.
Lining Papers can be used as a base for emulsion painting, or for overhanging with other wallcovering products. Before hanging, check that all rolls are the same grade, undamaged and that you have enough material for the job in hand. Contact Decorating Direct to return any faulty rolls, as we will not be liable for any badly hung or faulty material after hanging. Follow all instructions carefully, including those from paste, paint and wallpaper manufacturers. Make all surfaces sound, clean and dry, and ideally size or seal before hanging, especially old plaster. Turn off electricity supply before working around plug points and light fittings.
  1. Cut all lengths required, allowing extra trim each end.
  2. Draw straight pencil line on wall or ceiling for first length.
  3. Apply adhesive liberally to each length, making sure all edges are well covered. Fold each length paste to paste, and allow to soak until pliable before hanging.
  4. Apply first length along pencil mark. Smooth out with paperhanging brush and trim ends. Sponge any adhesive from the paper surface, take care not to damage the paper finish.
  5. Butt join subsequent lengths and avoid overlapping edges.
  6. Allow paper to dry. Emulsion paint whole surface to avoid natural shading, or overhang with another wallcovering product.
