Spreading Rate
Up to 10 sq. metres/litre (up to 54 sq. yards/gal) dependent on the surface porosity and texture.
Drying Time
Surface dry in 2 hours. Recoatable after 4-6 hours under normal conditions.
Uses
Suitable for the protection and decoration of exterior stucco, cement, stone, precast concrete, pebbledash, tyrolean finish etc.
A powerful blend of fungicides and algicides is incorporated to protect against organic growths and the smooth nature of the film ensures minimal dirt pick-up and fast, easy application by brush, roller or airless spray.
Preparation
Make good all cracks and structural defects. Surfaces must be dry and free from loose and flaking material, dirt, grease and organic growth. If there is evidence of organic growth, vigorous cleaning, either manually or mechanically, (Power washing is especially recommended if the substrate has rough contours) is essential before sterilising the surface with Macpherson Anti Mould Solution. The solution should be applied according to the instructions.
Application
Stir contents thoroughly, apply by brush or roller. Two coats are normally recommended for best results. For spray applications use Marbletex Smooth, thinned with 5 percent water before use. Do not apply below 5 degrees centigrade where the relative humidity may cause surface condensation, or where there is a threat of heavy rain. Protect from frost.
Cleaning
Clean all equipment with water immediately after use.
SPECIFICATION
Exterior stucco work, cement, concrete, stone, pebbledash, etc.Apply two coats of Marbletex Masonry Paint as supplied. In exposed areas the decoration of common brick should be avoided due to failure of adhesion caused by a random element imposed by the variability of the bricks.
Porous Surfaces such as cementitious paints, limewash
Remove all unsound material and then apply a pre-coat of Macpherson Stabilising Solution. If, after application of Stabilising Solution, a glossy surface results, abrade lightly before overcoating with two coats of Marbletex.
Wood or metal gutters, fall pipes, barge boards
Apply the appropriate Macpherson's Primer.
Then apply two coats of Marbletex as supplied. Not recommended for use on completely wood or steel structures.
Previously painted surfaces in sound condition
After thorough washing down and removal of loose or flaking paint, patch prime exposed surfaces with Macpherson Primer Seal overlapping the sound paint. Then apply two coats of Marbletex.
Precautions
Protect from frost.Store away from temperature extremes.
Use only in well ventilated areas.
In case of insufficient ventilation during spraying, wear suitable respiratory equipment.
Do not breathe vapour/spray.
In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
