Food Grade Fungicidal Silicone Sealant
Premium grade fungicidal silicone sealant, specially formulated for applications in the food machinery and food preparation industries. Prevents fungal attack and harbouring of bacteria. Food Grade Silicone contains a powerful and effective fungicide approved by the US FDA for food contact. Conforms to ISO 11600 G20 HM, DIN 18545-C, BS 5889 part B and FDA 21 CFR 175.105.Food Grade Fungicidal Silicone Sealant should be used in sealing food preparation machinery during manufacture and repair. It will withstand sterilisation cycles and extremes of heat and cold (Temperature stable -60°C to +260°C). It is suitable for applications in refrigeration units and coldroom environments due to high resistance to mildew and mould growth.
Food Grade Fungicidal Silicone Sealant should always be used in sealing joints and gaps around food preparation areas to waterproof and seal off gaps which have the potential to harbour grime. Can be cleaned with dilute bleach and all other disinfectants.
Use on ceramics, glass, stainless steel, paint and GRP in kitchens, machinery food processing environments, fridges, freezers, chillers and deep freezers.
Not recommended for application on concrete, marble, lead, copper, galvanised steel, PE, PP, Teflon and bituminous surfaces. Not recommended on porous or friable surfaces. Not suitable for use with aquaria. Adhesion tests prior to application are recommended.
