PVA Adhesive and Sealer
PVA adhesive and sealer is a high performance sealer, primer, bonding agent and dust proofer with good durability. Generally used on porous surfaces to seal and promote adhesion. Dries quickly to a high bond strength. Use as an admix to improve adhesion / workability and reduces cracking in cements, plaster and powdered wall fillers. Conforms to BS 5270.Priming and dustproofing applications: Dilute 1 part PVA with 4 parts water, allow to dry before continuing.
Cement and plaster admix: 1 part PVA to 5 parts gauging water.
Key coat and bonding aid: On porous surfaces add 1 part water to 2 parts PVA and apply the topping whilst PVA is still tacky. On non porous surfaces use PVA undiluted.
