X-Tex is an effective water-based textured coatings remover based on dibasic esters. It softens textured coatings, allowing them to be scraped off easily. Suitable for safely removing both bonded and non-bonded textured coatings effects including Artex and Polytex (early formulations of these products may contain harmful asbestos fibres) and all paints and wallpapers.

X-Tex's special non-toxic, solvent-free formulation is based on dibasic esters, a non-hazzardous and important replacement for Methylene Chloride and NMP which are now banned, and a safer alternative to Benzyl Alcohol based products for professional and industrial users. X-Tex can be safely used around children and pets.

Apply a generous coating with a large brush. Leave for 30 minutes to 1 hour and use a scraper and/or stainless steel wire wool to remove, taking care not to damage the underlying substrate. Always try a small test area first. Apply a second application if necessary. If required, applying a generous coating overnight allows the product to do the work - not you! You can also cover the product with a cheap plastic dust sheet, to reduce evaporation overnight, even further. You can see a short demonstration video here.

Coverage: 2.5 Litres of XTex will remove approximately 5-7 square meters, depending on the thickness of the coatings being used. Available in 2.5 litre, 5 litre and 15 litre sizes.
