Electrophysics CT33 Moisture Meter
The meter is popular for fast building surveys on floors and walls etc, and is also able to identify moisture behind ceramic tiles. The CT33 is also very popular for surveying and monitoring GRP hulled boats - following the removal of any anti fouling coatings - to identify moisture ingress caused by osmosis which may lead to blistering. The CT33 moisture meter senses to 25mm (1 inch) depth using a RF (Radio Frequency) signal over the full area of the sensor (47mm x 47mm) mounted underneath the meter. Effectively measuring a cubic volume of 47mm x 47mm x 25mm. The meter averages the moisture content over the cubic volume with areas closer to the meter given slightly higher weighting. This makes readings more resistant to the effects of transient surface moisture - such as surface condensation - than other types of moisture meters. Unusually the CT33 can be 'user calibrated' using the calibration plate. We recommend that customers purchase the calibration plate if they feel they may need to prove that their meter is displaying accurate readings, or if they need to calibrate the meter. Low battery warning light. Includes 9v battery, carry pouch and instructions (including a list of wood densities for 200 species). Case size (approx): 4.5 x 3.3 x 1.5 inches.
