Pelican - combined brush and mini roller paint kettle
At last a paint kettle and mini roller paint tray combined into one practical and well designed item, affectionately called the 'Pelican'. It uses disposable plastic liners (not included) for quick colour changes and easy clean-up.Its generous roll-off area accepts any standard mini roller upto 4½ inch width (also accepts our larger 5 inch wide 'Jumbo' mini rollers), and holds it securely whilst you use the brush. A powerful magnet embeded within the plastic body of the paint kettle also holds the paint brush securely by its steel ferrule against the wall of the container. Our Pelican holds upto 1 litre of paint for practical useage. Non-skid bottom. The 'Mug strap' automatically expands to allow room for larger hands (either right or left handed) and is coated with a soft-feel elastomer for increased comfort during extended periods of use.
In our tests with decorators they loved this bit of kit, it simply becomes a natural extention of your arm. The embedded magnet - which at first struck us as a bit of a gimmick - is absolutely unbelieveable!. It allowed them to consider different working methods, something they had never done before. Using one or two brushes together with a mini roller allowed them to apply large quantites of gloss paint onto flat surfaces very quickly with the roller, and cut in/lay off with brush... something which you can't do with a paint kettle and paint tray separately without getting in a mess. Flush doors and trim, soffits and facias all proved to be areas where alot of time could be saved. Infact we strongly recommend you use this combined paint tray and kettle in preference to the usual mini roller trays whenever you are using a mini roller.
If you use mini rollers (and particularly if you use them with paint brushes), you have just got to buy one of these! To get the full benefit, make sure you buy some liners as well. Brush and Roller are not included, and are shown for illustration purposes only.
