Very large Egg & Dart coving (cornice). Our largest coving size. It can be fitted as it is, or the optional matching corbel's can be added to produce a strong historically inspired design. Revolutionary alternative to traditional plaster coving, far lighter than plaster (gypsum) coving - and incredibly easy to handle and fix. Available in 2.0 meter lengths for easy DIY fixing. Dimensions: 190mm along ceiling x 190mm down wall x 2.0 meter length.High density polyurethane resin which is lightweight but non-fragile, and cuts beautifully with any standard 22" hard point or panel saw for perfect joints and mitres using an appropriate mitre block. Manufactured in metal moulds, rather than using an extrusion process to allow very deep relief with extremely sharp and fine detailing. More tolerant of uneven walls than our Styrene resin coving. Rigid, crisp white pre-primed surface ready to be finished with any standard decorative coating. Will not crack, rot or split easily.
Use Fix EXTRA to glue each length of Polyurethane coving to the next. This creates a unique bond, sharing the expansion and contraction of the coving between each length to resist cracking at the joints. We suggest that customers allow one 80ml tube of Fix EXTRA adhesive for every 10-15 joins depending on coving size.
Use Glues & Screws coving adhesive and filler for fixing Polyurethane coving to standard interior wall and ceiling surfaces. Can also be used for filling gaps. We suggest that customers allow one 310ml cartridge of Glues & Screws for fixing every 2-3 lengths of coving, depending on coving size.
