Safer Stripper (Discontinued)
Safer Stripper is a multi-layer paint and varnish remover in a thick liquid suspension. This environmentally more acceptable paint remover is safer because it does not contain methylene chloride or caustic soda, so there are no harmful fumes, it will not burn skin and is chemically more in harmony with the environment.Safer Stripper will strip many household paints, including oil and water-borne paints and emulsions, polyurethane's, varnish, shellac, lacquers, and marine paints from most surfaces including Wood, Brick, Stone, Concrete, Marble, Plaster, Aluminium, Cast iron or other metals etc. Safer Stripper is particularly popular for stripping marine paints and anti-fouling coatings as its kinder to the gelcoat and glassfibre than other strippers.
Abrading the surface prior to applying Safer Stripper enhances its performance. Apply generously by dabbing on with a brush. Leave for up to 1 hour, then test with a stripping tool to remove softened paint. For very thick paint, several hours dwell time and/or a second application may be necessary before all paint is removed. Steel wool and scouring pads can help clean surface of remaining paint. Wash surface with water or white spirit.
