Sikkens Alphacryl Mat (Alphacryl SF)
Sikkens Alphacryl Mat is a premium dead matt, high opacity, water-borne acrylic coating for interior walls and ceilings in domestic and commercial properties subject to very high wear and high dirt exposure. Sikkens Alphacryl Mat's unique 'low tension' film formation, and high moisture vapour permability allows it to be used on specialist renovation projects with less than ideal substrates and poor intercoat adhesion - such as those found in historic properties and churches.

Sikkens Alphacryl Mat is scrub resistant to BS EN 13300 (Class 1), providing high resistance to the burnishing evident when using other matt interior finishes.

Sikkens Alphacryl Mat replaces conventional low odour interior wall finishes, where projects require commercial grade abrasion and dirt resistance, in combination with a completely dead matt finish, and low tension film formation to reduce the risk of peeling and flaking on less than ideal substrates.
  • Dead matt and high opacity
  • Low tension film formation
  • Excellent flow
  • Wet scrub resistant (BS EN 13300 Class 1)
  • Resists burnishing
  • Very low dirt pick-up / stain resistant
Sikkens Alphacryl Mat can be applied to many substrates including plaster and plaster-board, air dried concrete, brickwork and blockwork as well as previously coated surfaces. Dust dry in 1 hour, recoatable in 2-3 hours. These times are based on a temperature of 20°C, normal relative humidity and good drying conditions. Approximate coverage 9-10 square meters per litre. Sikkens Alphacryl Mat is available in white only in 10 litre tubs.
