Sikkens Cetol Filter 7 Exterior Woodstain
Sikkens Cetol Filter 7 is a medium build, solvent-borne, highly translucent satin finish woodstain based on alkyd resins.Sikkens Cetol Filter 7 is a high durability finish coat for use over Cetol HLS on smooth planed softwood and hardwood joinery. It's unique resin and pigment dispersal system combined with ultraviolet absorbers allow Cetol Filter 7 to give the greatest protection against UV light thereby restricting the degradation of the timber surface in direct sunlight. Cetol Filter 7 is recommended for use on southerly facing elevations which receive the greatest amount of sunlight during the day. It resists peeling and flaking and is particularly moisture vapour permeable - allowing the timber to breathe.
Coverage for each coat: 16 square meters per litre depending on surface condition and timber species. Touch dry in 4 hours, recoatable in 16 hours. These times are based on a temperature of 20°C, normal relative humidity and good drying conditions.
Sikkens Cetol Filter 7 is available in 1 and 2.5 Litre sizes (Note: we no longer supply 5L sizes, as Sikkens latest pricing structure makes it cheaper to buy two 2.5 Litre cans than one 5 Litre can).
