Sikkens Cetol Novatech Exterior Woodstain
Sikkens Cetol Novatech is a high build, high solids, low solvent translucent satin finish woodstain.Suitable for use on smooth planed softwoods and hardwoods, the high-build nature of the Sikkens Cetol Novatech and Novatop system gives substantial labour savings due to the reduced number of coats required when compared to traditional solvent-borne woodstain systems. This high solids system comprises one coat of Sikkens Cetol Novatech and one coat of Sikkens Cetol Novatop for joinery, or, two coats of Sikkens Cetol Novatech for cladding and rough sawn timber.
Use as a one coat basestain to Sikkens Cetol Novatop or alone as a two coat 'stand alone' system on rough-sawn timber and cladding. Sikkens Cetol Novatech resists ultraviolet light and growth of moulds within the coating film, with exceptional absorption and adhesion properties resulting in durability which exceeds traditional three coat systems.
Coverage for each coat: 6 - 16 square meters per litre depending on surface condition and timber species. Touch dry in 3-5 hours, recoatable in 16 hours. These times are based on a temperature of 20°C, normal relative humidity and good drying conditions.
Sikkens Cetol Novatech is available in 1 and 2.5 Litre sizes (Note: we no longer supply 5L sizes, as Sikkens latest pricing structure makes it cheaper to buy two 2.5 Litre cans than one 5 Litre can).
