Sikkens Cetol Novatop Exterior Woodstain
Sikkens Cetol Novatop is a high build, high solids, low solvent, translucent satin finish for smooth planed softwood and hardwood joinery.The high-build nature of the Sikkens Cetol Novatech and Novatop system gives substantial labour savings due to the reduced number of coats required when compared to traditional solvent-borne woodstain systems. This high solids system comprises one coat of Sikkens Cetol Novatech and one coat of Sikkens Cetol Novatop on joinery.
A high performance, low maintenance product for use as a one coat finish over Sikkens Cetol Novatech, providing maximum durability, excellent translucency and quality of finish. Based on a new generation of high solids technology, its alkyd binders offer improved absorption and therefore better durability and extended maintenance cycles. There is also a higher film build with each coat, meaning that fewer coats are required and project costs can be reduced.
Coverage for each coat: 16 square meters per litre depending on surface condition and timber species. Touch dry in 5-6 hours. These times are based on a temperature of 20°C, normal relative humidity and good drying conditions.
Sikkens Cetol Novatop is available in 1 and 2.5 Litre sizes (Note: we no longer supply 5L sizes, as Sikkens latest pricing structure makes it cheaper to buy two 2.5 Litre cans than one 5 Litre can). It is available in the traditional Cetol range of 8 natural wood colours, the new Cetol Design Classic collection of 45 colours and Cetol Design Style collection of 40 colours, as well as the legacy Natural Balance collection.
