Moisture Cured Metal Primer
Moisture Cured Metal Primer is a high performance, single-pack, anti-corrosive metal primer. Moisture Cured Metal Primer is simple to use and provides excellent adhesion to a wide range of metals including blast cleaned steel, galvanised surfaces, aluminium etc. Only for use with our Moisture Cured Floor Paint Systems.Ensure all areas are clean, sound, dry and free from all dust, dirt, loose and flaking material, and general surface contamination. All oils, grease and other contaminants, etc. should be removed with a suitable degreasing solution. Steel should preferably be abrasive blast cleaned to BS7079 Standard SA2.5. Thorough mechanical preparation (power wire brushing, needle gunning, grinding etc.) can be utilised for mild environments. Aluminium surfaces should be roughened. Unweathered galvanised surfaces should be treated with Mordant Solution (T Wash).
Theoretical coverage 22 square meters per litre. Practical coverage approximately 15 square meters per litre, this may vary depending on the profile of the substrate. Touch dry in approximately 2 hours. Minimum overcoating interval: 4 hours. Maximum overcoating interval: 24 hours (it is important that the Moisture Cured Metal Primer is overcoated with our Moisture Cured Floor Paint within this time period to ensure a good chemical bond occurs between both coatings). These times are based on a temperature of 20°C, normal relative humidity and good drying conditions. Do not apply if temperatures are below 5°C, especially in areas of low ventilation.
