Bartoline Wallpaper Stripper is a concentrated liquid formulated to aid the removal of old wallpaper originally applied with starch type powdered wallpaper pastes.
Add one eighth of the contents of this bottle (125ml) to 4.5 litres of warm water in a 10 Litre paint scuttle. Stir the solution and apply liberally with a 9 inch microfibre paint roller. An extension pole will make application easier on large projects. You can also use a sponge, cloth or brush to apply - but it's hard work and the liquid runs down your arms, especially when stripping ceilings - we don't advise it.
Allow the solution to penetrate for approximately 15 minutes before stripping the wallpaper. Additional layers of wallpaper may require repeated applications of the solution. Washable or painted wallpapers will need to be scored (with something like a Paper Tiger) to allow the solution to soak through the wallpaper. Sometimes it's possible to peel off the plastic facing of vinyl wallpapers so that the stripping solution can easily penetrate the paper backing.
Note: Protect floor surfaces and furniture etc., from splashes, and wear gloves and glasses if necessary.
Bartoline Wallpaper Stripper is sold in 1 Litre PET bottles with child safety cap, sufficient to make 37 Litres of stripping solution.
