Kip 347 Seal Tape is a premium, permanent airtight and watertight sealing tape developed for demanding permenant interior applications on roofing underlays, sarking, and facade membranes, on building and insulation projects.
It features a strong elastic black LDPE film backing, reinforced with a PE scrim, which provides good tear resistance, conformability, and resistance to wrinkling or heat. The tape carries a thick, very high-tack acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive dispersion (with separate silicone release paper) that offers extremely strong initial grab and reliable long-term bonding. It adheres well to a range of substrates such as PE and PP films, HDPE, non-woven plastic fleeces, low-energy surfaces, and can cope with very slightly damp surfaces - although dry surfaces are preferred for best performance.
The adhesive maintains performance across a wide service temperature range from -40°C to +70°C. Suitable for permanent indoor use, and up to 18 months UV resistance for outdoor use. 347 Seal Tape helps create very durable airtight seals that support the weather resistance and longevity of building envelopes. It is supplied in 60 mm wide × 25 m long rolls.
