Glav Primer Finish is a satin finished, high-build combined primer and finish in one-can for exterior galvanised metal surfaces using a new modified acrylic resin formulation which offers excellent durability. Uniquely, it also contains a high proportion of Zinc Phosphate to inhibit rust on bare steel, allowing it to be used on both galvanised and ungalvanised steel substrates. Steel fabricators love this product. Use on all galvanised metal surfaces such as gates, fencing, railings, doors, metal fabrications, lamposts, signposts, gates, street furniture etc. Can also be used for interior use. Now you can forget about using T wash (mordant solution), specialist primers and undercoats.
Preparation: Galvanised surfaces - thoroughly degrease using Grax-it, ensure galvanised surface is free of 'white rust'.
Application: Galvanised surfaces - apply 1 or 2 coats straight onto the galvanised metal as required.
Theoretical coverage 5.7 square meters per litre. Practical coverage approximately 4.5 square meters per litre, this may vary depending on the profile of the substrate. Apply by brush or airless spray. Touch dry approximately 1 hour, Hard dry approximately 4 hours, recoatable in approximately 6 hours (minimum) and 3 months (maximum). These times are based on a temperature of 20°C, normal relative humidity and good drying conditions. Do not apply if temperatures are below 10°C, especially in areas of low ventilation. Use TH25 or TH19 for thinning and cleaning.
