Quick Drying Floor Paint is a modern single-pack, semi-gloss finish, floor paint for interior use in garages, showrooms, offices and light industrial premises. Quick Drying Floor Paint is a hardwearing coating formulated to protect and decorate concrete, cement, stone, brickwork, timber floors etc. Easy clean semi-gloss finish prevents dusting on concrete surfaces. Suitable for regular foot traffic, and light wheeled traffic. This is our fastest selling floor paint and is used by schools, factories, industrial units and garages throughout the UK as it allow remedial work to be undertaken during working hours. This allows us to buy in bulk and pass the savings on to you.
Its quick drying, virtually odour free formulation allows redecoration projects to be undertaken in sensitive areas where strong solvent odours are unacceptable, and ensures that floors are back in service with minimal downtime.
Quick Drying Floor Paint is incredibly easy to apply and maintain, providing a smart decorative and functional floor finish in double quick time and very little upheaval.
Ensure all areas are clean, sound, dry and free from all dust, dirt, loose and flaking material, and general surface contamination. All oils, grease and other contaminants, etc. should be removed with a suitable degreasing solution and/or steam cleaning. New concrete must be fully through-dry (a rule-of-thumb guide is to allow 1 month of drying time for every inch of concrete laid - For example 6 months for 6 inches of concrete). Etch or mechanically abrade any hard smooth, chemically treated or power floated concrete floors, and remove any surface laitance (soft under-bound surface layer). Timber surfaces should be thoroughly sanded and vacuumed.
Bare or New Substrates: Apply 1 coat Quick Drying Floor Paint thinned by 10% with clean water, when dry apply 1 or 2 coats of unthinned Quick Drying Floor Paint.
Previously painted substrates (sound): Existing coatings must be sound, firmly adhered and suitable for coating (apply a test area if unsure). Wash, degrease and thoroughly abrade to roughen existing surfaces and remove sheen. Apply 2 coats of Quick Drying Floor Paint.
Theoretical coverage 13 square meters per litre. Practical coverage approximately 9 square meters per litre, this may vary depending on the porosity and profile of the substrate. Only apply by brush or short pile roller. Drying time approximately 2-4 hours. recoatable in approximately 4-6 hours. These times are based on a temperature of 20°C, normal relative humidity and good drying conditions. Do not apply if temperatures are below 10°C, especially in areas of low ventilation. Quick Drying Floor Paint cannot be used over PVC Tiles, quarry tiles or granolithic concrete.
